- March 1998 - we move both Red and Aziza to a new stables down the road
from us. There's some tension and rivalry between Red and Aziza as they vie to see who
will be number 1. Surprisingly, there's more than a little biting going on, and Aziza is
taking the brunt of it! Aziza is normally a very calm horse, so this is strange to see.
Horses, clearly, get jealous! Also, Live Systems finally rids itself of the frame relay
connection and moves our online operations to an ISP. We're talking an order of magnitude
in costs savings! But LiveMarks isn't dead yet, and we'll see what we can make happen in
the future.

- February 1998 - Anne's brother makes the decision to head back to
Texas, and we decide to make a new addition to our family. It's time to grow our
"herd" again, and Anne finds a horse she falls in love with over the Internet.
His name is "Shadow's Texas Red" and he's an 11-year old gelded chestnut
Tennessee Walking Horse. What a great horse! What a great temperament! We have a wonderful
time acclimating him to his New Mexico lifestyle and environment at our home.

- January 1998 - we spend most of this month working through things with
Anne's brother: recovery from the surgery, radiation therapy, the debates with the
oncologists over chemotherapy. Her brother enjoys living here, but is terribly bored by
our quiet lifestyle, and is anxious to get back to his life in Texas!
